As we prepare ourselves to start 2023, we’re all looking at how the on-going upkeep of brand and digital estate might best come into play. We previously mentioned how to use Google analytics for your website. In parallel with this it’s always a good time to assess whether your website is functioning effectively.

It can be a tricky (a little overwhelming even!) keeping ahead of the curve on digital technology developments or design trends. But it’s fair to say that if your website is more than a few years old, there’s a good chance it’s in need of a serious review.

Here are some tell-tale signs that it’s time for a web refresh:

1.    Your website looks dated

If your website looks like it was designed in the early 2000s, it’s time for an update. Dated design and functionality can make your business look out-of touch and behind the times.

2.    Your website is difficult to use

If your website is hard to navigate or doesn’t work well on mobile devices, this will need looking at. Responsive design is now a pre-requisite and users want to find what they’re looking for quickly, on their preferred device.

3.    Your website isn’t optimised for search engines

If your website isn’t optimised for search engines, you’re missing out on valuable traffic. Make sure your website is using the latest SEO best practices.

4.    Your website doesn’t represent your brand well

If your website doesn’t accurately reflect your brand, talk to us! Your website is often the most visible brand expression and it needs to reflect your company’s look, feel, ethos and messaging.

5.    You’re not getting results from your website

If your website isn’t generating leads or sales, have a rethink about what you want it to achieve – we can help you with this. Your website should be a key part of your sales funnel.

If you’re seeing any of these signs, it’s time to update your website!

Have a look at our case studies to see how Framework Design have created great performing websites, with great functionality.
